I think in your cat it was cardiomyopathy and in your ferret he may have
thown a blood clot to an area that never resolved and scarred in so he never
regain use. Was he treated with cortisone for the paralysis?
In all cases we never know what will happen. It is not the isoflo it is
really safe, it can be anything from an underlying indiagnosed
cardiomyopathy that stress caused the problem to excel. It happens in cats
frequently. These are the cases that can't be diagnosed on x ray and only
can be diagnosed on ultrasound.
