> We can only see if the tumor is malignant with a biopsy ?

I don't think that you can and be sure. There should be posts from Dr. Bruce Williams on that which will say more than I know.

> It seems that Lupron is not successful for all ferrets and it's expensive. Do you have an idea of the price in your area ?

It is always costly. I think that Mike Janke might be the one who gives some of the sources of excellent prices in past posts and the source used (a compounding pharmacy).

> There is a lot of controversy on Lupron treatment too.

I don't know that it is lot of controversy. I haven't seen the human studies and I haven't heard of controversy inrelation to uses in ferrets. On this score I think that the vets and those here who have seen the studies can comment far better than I could.

> What do you think of Melatonin ?

I think that it is better than nothing but going from past posts of Dr. Jerry Murray I don't have the impression that it is an alternative which is up to the level of Lupron for use, though maybe at some point more will be known about delivery methods and doses which will make it better option.

Then again, you don't know if Cookie has adrenal neoplasia.

The things that concerns me is that you mention that he is urinating in small amounts at a time so I think it wouldpay to consider that perhaps his prostate is inflammed.

Thanks for your kind words. One of the other moderators approved your post so I got a happy surprise.

I think that others here can give you as much or more info than I.
