If it's really the first signs of Adrenal again ... Can it be better to try Lupron before surgery ... If the disease is in early stage so the tumor will continue to grow and few months later go for surgery, the vet will "see" it ... and maybe

I really think ... I don't want to get Cookie on surgery again so soon ... He has been through all this 3 months ago, if I can give him some medication and wait for the surgery procedure ... maybe it will be better for him.

Lupron isn't well-known too. Here's a part of an article on Lupron, Casodex, and Arimidex :

"The following protocols have been developed as the result of clinical trials performed by Dr. Charles Weiss. Although these drugs appear very safe and effective, there is not much long-term data available on the use of these drugs in the ferret. Also, these drugs are not approved for the ferret."

I have called my actual vet yesterday for his advice. I hope to have news today. He's the one who doesn't do the right adrenal gland surgery and put ferrets on Lupron. I'm pretty sure he knows someone who can do the right gland ... But over here there are less ferrets than in US so, maybe they can do right adrenal gland surgery once a year ... that's a little scary too ... it's not the same when you know a good vet who can do this difficult surgery more often ...

If Cookie goes to surgery right now ... and he dies during or after ... I'll feel so guilty. I know that Lupron can't cure Adrenal, but at least he will live longer ... I think my biggest problem now is that I just can't trust enough a vet here (I know that there are only 2 possible vets my vet can say to me).

Thanks Regina for your comments ... It can be a very interesting possibility ...

I'll keep you all updated ...

There is another thing that I really don't understand ...
When there is less light (Fall/Winter) the ferret is shedding, new hairs are growing ... he has a new fur.

After Cookie's left Adrenal gland surgery last summer, I tried to limit his exposure to light to 4-5 hours per day. His hairs had grown so fast !

So, I'm wondering right now ... Maybe he's just starting to shed again ... Maybe 4-5 hours of light daily is just NOT ENOUGH LIGHT ???

As I said, Cookie had lost his white undercoat in October and now at the end of his shedding ... it falls again.
