Hi, all !
First I would like to thank everyone that responed about my ear mite problem..
now on to another problem..
One of our kids, Slinky age approx 3-4? seemed like he was losing weight and not eating his kibble so we started suplimenting with duck soup to fatten him up.. off to the vet to check glucose, it was 65 so we started him on pred.. he still seems like he doesnt want to eat his kibble and Ive been still giving him the duck soup 3-4 times a day..
he looks like hes gained alot and I dont know if its weight or bloating or what.. anyway, sometimes ( like last night with his late night snack) his nose and paw pads get really bright pink/red.. hes going back to the vet again today for a recheck but I wanted to ask everyone here for ideas... could it be insulinoma that is causing him to not want to eat? what about the color of his pads?? if hes having that problem, could it mean his pred is too low and hes not responding to it?
We lost a ferret several months ago and one of the things that showed up after his death was alot of gas in his intestines ( no blockage was found) and I dont want the same thing to happen to Slinky, the other ferret started out the same way, except his glucose was very high instead of low..
any suggestions would be appreciated..
thanks so much, you guys are great
June
