If anyone could offer some help it would be
appreciated. This morning I woke up to find what
appeared to be a small puddle of blood with a clot.
Then I realized it was most likely bloody urine with a
clot of blood that was not very small. Of course I
freaked out. One of our ferrets is in acute renal
failure so at first i assumed it was her. I them
checked both ferrets who have been eating and drinking
fine. I remembered my other ferret going from little
box to litter box late last night and I finally
realized it was her. I hoping it is just a bad UTI?
She urinated several times since and no more obvious
blood? Well actaully the first time she peed after the
incident there was tiny speck of blood. I collected
some urine and I am waiting for results. She does not
really seem herself, but is still eating, drinking and
walking around. She is urinating a lot, but I have
given her a ton of extra water mixed with a little
babyfood to get her to drink more. I am really
worried. We have already lost two ferrets this year
and have another that is ill. She is my healthy one!
Also she gets Lupron injections every four months and
had one a few weeks ago. she has been getting them
for about two years I think. Her vulva was a little
swollen a few weeks ago. She had a UTI once before,
but no blood. When knew cause it hurt her to pee.
This time she does not seem to be straining? Any one
else experience anything like this please e-mail me
directly.
Thanks.
