I think that there has been a bit of confusion -- not disagreement as much as confusion. Dr. Murray has mentioned that surgery is still his first response of choice for either a left or right adrenal growth, but when surgery can't be done Lupron is his second choice and that Lupron has more promise than was known to exist before some research was done but of course, it won't touch malignancies whereas surgery has the chance of removing them and saving lives. Melatonin is his third choice.
I'm sure he'll say it all far better in his own words when his schedule permits.
Meanwhile, more is being learned and options are openning up which is a very good thing.
In our own household we've had good luck with Lupron for plain old hyperplasia when surgery couldn't be done. It wasn't useful when malignancies were present but of course, the research Dr. Murray mentioned a week or two (3?) back indicates that Lupron isn't going to be effective for that.
