Subject: Sudden Bad Fighting, Sickness???

Can anyone tell me if sudden fighting between ferrets is a sign of sickness=
? One of our ferrets, Taz suddenly started biting at every ferret that happ=
ens to walk by he makes a loud squeaking sound, it sounds a like a high pit=
ched bark. When I went to pick him up he even made the sound at me althoug=
ht He didn=92t try to bite me. He just seemed different, like he was upset =
by something. Nothing has changed in our house, that I can think of. Last=
night I had to remove him from the cage because the other ferrets couldn=92=
t even get in the top level to go to sleep. Taz has only fought with one of=
our other ferrets once before and that was after a ferret died. We thought=
at that time the two males were just trying to see who was going to be bos=
s now that the one that had been in charge was now gone. I am trying to ma=
ke an appointment to see our vet today but thought I would check with every=
one to see if they had any ideas before we went it today.
