Subject: Here is a Sammy update

I have mostly bad news about Taz. I just got off the phone with our vet. H=
e discovered several large tumors. One of the tumors could be removed it wa=
s on his spleen and he decided it would be best to remove the whole spleen.=
The vet thought by doing so he could give him a little more room on the ins=
ide and lighten him up a little since Taz has been having trouble getting a=
round. He also discovered two tumors on his kidneys. The last tumor was on =
his liver. The vet said there was no way to remove the tumors on the kidne=
ys or the liver. He also went on to say there isn=92t anything we can do f=
or Taz with meds either. I just don=92t want to believe there is nothing we=
can do for him. Can anyone tell me if we have some other options that our =
vet is not aware of? I don=92t want to sit back and do nothing. I also woul=
d like to know if anyone else has gone throught this so I can have some ide=
a of what to expect and so I can prepare our children for what to expect

Here is a Sammy update...Well, just about everything looked good. His heart of
course was enlarged with some ademia but kidneys looked normal, liver is a
little ify. However, he has some major tonsil and sinus problems. The vet said
that it is very rare to see the problems that he has. His cough is do to mucous
that is draining into his throat from his naval cavities. His throat is a little
swollen but doc said nothing to serious. The doc said that he is going to see if
he can find some vet that can treat his sinus problem since they do not have
the technology and ability to treat it there.
Oh and the yellow poop was do to the bile from his liver. I had blood work done
to see if there is anything wrong with his liver i should know that in about four
days or so. I will keep you updated.
