I just had a 2.5 yo ferret pass because his body was unable to produce any
red blood cells after a routine dental cleaning. He died three days after
the cleaning and it turned out he had a staph infection (which was resistant
to all known antibiotcs) and Ecoli. I don't mean to imply your ferret may
have the same thing - it took me and my vet by surprise so I just thought
I'd pass it along.
Isn't it wierd how we're now seeing on the news now that many children have
been found to have a staph infection resistant to all antibiotics recently?
