What is the usual course of treatment when a ferret has a sinus infection? Lowell is an old guy with a diminished sense of smell and terrible breath emanating more from the nose than the mouth. I brush his teeth daily. The two upper canines are badly discolored, others are ok except tartar on the molars. I did give him a 14-day treatment with amoxi and it helped for a while but the problem is back. Is a different antibiotic recommended?
