I have been reading your posts about Clara, Beeker and the rest on
SmartGroups. My 6 month old male from MF, Thunderfoot, has all the
symptoms
of that disease. Started small limp Sunday Dec 14, swollen lymph node
Monday 15. Vet started him on liquid antibiotic. Next day he was worse
so they gave injection of Baytril. He had one each day thru Thursday 18.
That day they did blood work and his WBC was over 11000. They started
him on Prednisone and table Baytril. Monday 22 I took him to a more
ferret knowledgeable vet. He stayed until Christmas eve. His fever has been
upwards of 106.2 On Christmas eve he got to come home and it had been
103. He had a clear discharge from his nose. (Only a couple of drops and
have seen no more) He eats only if handfed. He is just barely able to
stand and makes grinding noises with his teeth. Can anyone send me any
more info on this disease? Has any ferret survived this to a normal
life? I don't want Thunderfoot to suffer but I want to wait til I'm
positive there is no chance. Please help if you can. I am praying an
answer can be found, even if it's too late for Thunderfoot. I don't want
any other little ferret to go through this horrible disease.

Thank you so much.
