Was he checked for Salmonella, Campy, etc? I might consider a different
formula of food. The kitten food should probably be changed to adult food..
I would also try the reduced fat food. I like some of the ferret foods
better, but a client of mine is using Purina Pro Plan or Purina One healthy
weight maintenance which is lower in fat but higher in protein. See how
things go and hope things improve for your kid. I would also consider
putting him on some form of cortisone, either pred or dexamethasone, because
if there is a neurologic component it may help. Good Luck.
