Nancy, what about trying some steaming to help her breathe?
Also, what about trying NON-chicken baby food, maybe even NON-poultry? With IBD we've had good luck with lamb and beef baby foods mixed with hot water till they were around ferret body temp. A warmed food has more odor, it gets in more fluid, and it ia easier to eat. I kinow that the family of Rinkie Dink who had terrible IBD used ham baby food.
