It's hard to predict what she will be able to manage.

Our Ashling has terrible muscle wasting after around 3 months of
carcinoma (which has recently worsened so new tactics are being tried:
new doses, new med added, etc. and fingers crossed that we can make it
work for her for a while), but, you know, she surprised everyone a
while back. After a while of having her muscles very wasted away she
figured out a way to use her rear legs together sort of like
simultaneous pogo sticks and now she is running again, albeit in a
strange fashion. Ferrets just vary so much and they can be so
inventive.

Have you considered having her reassessed to see if her insulinoma
needs different dosing or a different medication added?
