Apologies for using the wrong topic for a reply to a different posting topic.

There can be other causes of lost fur, but they are rare. What could be more likely if only a visual assessement was done was that the adrenal neoplasia simply wasn't at a point where it shoed up on gross examination during surgery yet. Our own experience over 21 years is that the second (missing adrenal neoplasia -- even by expert and excellent vets) is more common than the first (fur loss from other causes).

In this case I think I would REALLY think seriously about trying the TN Adrenal Panel test, and would think about other testing done in addition: imaging, CBC with Chem Panel, etc.
