My 6 month old male Thunderfoot is still very sick.
He has been on several antibiotics and Pred. He is so weak now he can't stand, but he is still eating chicken gravy very well.He does get up to potty on the paper( I keep right beside him) but hardly has the energy to get back off. Yesterday he was supposed to have surgery to try and see what is going on. His fever was down, but he was too weak. I have him at
home, feeding him every 3 to 4 hours round the clock. He seems more eager to eat since I brought him home. The vet did a wonderful job of taking care of him, but could never come up with what is causing this. He told me yesterday that Thunderfoot had to have his mouth opened and the food squirted in. He had been away from me since Friday before lunch. I went to see him Monday and to decide about the next step. He was trying to get up. We left him one more night to see about his fever and the possible surgery. I feel like he got depressed over not getting to come home and refused to eat since he is eating well now. I am still not very sure of his outcome but am hopeful. If anyone has any suggestions for what to try, please let me know.
