If I remember correctly, this is a young ferret, yes? Just over a year or
so? High fever, good appetite, elevated white count, some anemia - I would be
very, very suspicious of the emerging illness that has been seen in young
ferrets over the past year. Check back in the list archives for posts on "Mystery
Illness", Chiclet, Clara. I know there were others but can't recall their
names right now.
