Amforol liquid is a good choice for diarrhea.
As you have noticed, the feces have already
become normal. In a young ferret, ECE (a corona
virus) is a good possibility for the cause of the
diarrhea Was the diarrhea green and mucoid?
Continue monitoring hydration and appetite.
It is ok to use gatorade or pedialyte or Rebound
or other elctrolyte rehydration products. Likewise
it is ok to use Hill's a/d or Gerbers baby food (chicken
or turkey without rice) to increase appetite and help
with hydration. SQ fluids can also be used if needed.
The decision of sedating or not sedating depends on the
activity level of the ferret. If he is weak and lethargic then
sedation may not be needed, but masking him down with
SEVO or Iso is recommended if he is active and not likely
to hold still for the blood sampling.
Sounds like he is already improving, so you may not need
to get a blood sample after all.
