Subject: Adrenal disease, lupron and vulva swelling

Why is Cleo's vulva swelling so large when given her monthly lupron shot and then receeds at the end of the month when she shot is due again?
Cleo is 5+ years old, Marshall ferret
She has been on lupron for about 2 years for adrenal disease
She weights 1.7, she is active, eats and drinks well, coat is beautiful, she doesn't strain when moving her bowels and she appears to be loosing her sight.
She receives lupron 37.5 mcg/ml per month, which was just increased to 77 mcg/ml, due to her vulva being enlarged.
Surgery was not recommended at the time of diagnoses due to her small size and some what due to the glands involved.
I am very concerned about the large increase of her vulva just after she receives her lupron shot. It stays large for several weeks but when her shot is due again, it is much smaller.
Has anyone else experienced this?
