Truer words were never spoken! While there are medical options you will notice repeatedly that the vet members say that surgery is better, but if you can't find someone who is knowledgeable on ferret surgery and your vet isn't up to it then you can use meds while you arrange for surgery. The past posts from vets and write-ups from vets at assorted sites should help your vet (who hopefuly also has some ferret vet texts and videos). There are some excellent past posts on why surgery is preferable and why all ferrets with adrenal disease need to be treated, and what sad things happen to ferrets far too often when people do not operate or do not treat.

I know there are a LOT of posts on adrenal disease in the FHL archives at the sonic-weasel addy, but you can see which ones come from vets and known knowledgeable posters as well as seeing the subject listing and those things can help you pick and choose which ones you will open first and read for help. That really helps a lot in addition to using the fine websites with vet write-ups.
