You've gotten some pretty good advice from the experts, but as for knowing for sure if it's adrenal disease since there are no outward signs... the "Tennessee Adrenal Panel" is a good tool. Your vet can find info on that here...

The only thing is, you might not have the time to wait for the results of this. If he gets totally blocked, he's in serious trouble, so something needs to be done soon.

Adrenal disease is probably the most common cause, but I wonder if there could be a urinary tract infection unrelated to adrenal/prostate involvement.
