this is mostly directed to Dr Ruth, based on her message
(http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=SG7571) that
she'd seen improved quality of life in ferrets with
cancer given essiac. I have ordered from the following
website, which had good reviews for their Essiac online.
http://www.countryherbal.com/
their instructions were 6 ounces divided into 6x a day
(detailed instructions and ingredient list on the website).
I'm wondering what the dosage for a ferret should be.

I posted a week or two ago that my Polar Bear has
metastasized adrenal cancer. he went back for an ultrasound
yesterday, where my vets observed he had a lot more tumours
and discontinued his chemo as it is not working. right now
I just want to make him as comfortable as possible, and will
let him go when he decides not to eat (he's still eating well).
I figure there is no harm in trying Essiac, and my vet agrees.
I have ordered some that I hope I will get before the end of
the week, in hopes that it'll improve his quality of life.

so if Dr Ruth or anybody else has some idea of what dosage
and frequency of Essiac I should use for Bear, I would really
appreciate that. since he's terminal, I would be more inclined
to try the high end of a range. Bear is about 1400 grams.

many thanks.

Selina
