Subject: Mass near Vulva

I saw a patient last night with a mass about one inch in diameter, firm,
non-painful, located just next to the vulva and deviating it to the opposite side.
No problem urinating, even though the vulva is significantly displaced. On
aspiration, I got blood only. The mass is dark in appearance under the skin.
It has grown since the owners first noticed it four days earlier.

Removal is scheduled for Monday, and histopathology will be done. I just
wanted to know if anybody out there has seen similar sounding masses and if so,
what it ended up being (if removed). My initial thought was a vaginal wall
cyst, which I've seen before (although only in intact ferrets and this girl is
from MF), but with the blood on aspiration, I'm thinking other things now.
