Hi John, in the UK most ferret vets will not spay or castrate any animal
until it is sexually mature because they consider it harms/retards
proper development. De-scenting is nearly unlawful under UK law as it is
considered cosmetic surgery. I can tell you this; Adrenal Disease was
virtually unknown here 10 years ago is now cropping up around the UK. I
can't prove any link but most ferrets are now fed dry complete ferret
food and that=92s been around a little over 10 years in the UK. Chris.
