I have a very good friend that has a ferret that has questionable Insulinoma.
He has taken him to 3 different vets. He has had an x-ray done as there was a
small nodule on the pancreas. The ferret in only 6 months old. He has
occasional seizure of being lost in space stares, no hind end weakness, no drooling,
or any other signs. He plays, eats, drinks and poos normal. They have tried
the karo to pull him out of the trance, it does not seem to affect him. The
trances only last a few seconds. The glucose levels have been low at times but
most of the time the are at normal range. Now the odd thing is loud noises seem
to set the seizure off. Does any one know why that would be and is this truly
Insulinoma?
He is currently being seen by a ferret specialist at Penn. State. Surgery has
been brought up but scheduled yet.
