Oh, speaking of genetic things...

In Europe there is a kit (unknown origin since the little one was
dumped) who has what appears in photos to perhaps be lateral
polydactyly combined with partial syndactyly, so that it almost looks
like an extra foot on each side. (Polydactyly (extra digits -- toes or
fingers) and syndactyly (a coating or webbing forming a tissue pocket
fully or partially over the digits or joining them) can happen
separately or together and exist widely in Mammalia.)

The people have promised to update me when the ferret has her special
vet appointment once she is older. The vet wants to wait for an older
age. So, when it is known what is actually wrong we'll all see what
else to add to the list of possible things that can happen.

Has anyone here run into these conditions in ferrets in hte past?
