If she is still enjoying life give her a chance.

It may also be that the Pediapred is not giving her as much control as she would be best with.

Do you have any Nutrical? If so, see if she perks up with some of that and gets more interested again.

Insulinoma itself can cause stomach upset, and loss of appetite, even runs sometimes.
(So it might actually be that she needs MORE of her meds, not less.)

If the Nutrical imporoves her try using a fork and working some of it into water and leaving that out (but skim off the oil skin that will rise). That is how they had us maintain Fritter back when, and with Warp when the meds would not hold her she got an extra 3 months from having this around for her all the time.

Almost no ferrets have any problems with Pred, but a number wind up undermedicated for insulinoma, or having trouble utilizing the Pred.

You are giving Pediapred which is Prednisolone instead of giving Prednisone, right? Some ferrets don't access the Prednisone as well as the Prednisolone because of the extra liver processing step Prednisone requires.

Fritter had some Pred (but back then vets were more leery than now about that) and later some diazoxide when it was an experimental med, but at first with her earliest vets for it she only had dietary sugar. Later she had all three.

OH -- there are some ferret who have been mentioned in past FHLs who did better with a steroid other than Pred (Was it Dex for them?) Could someone who knows respond? I don;t know if i have time to search the archives, but will if I get a chance.
