Hello everyone,

My 5 year old hob has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and I just need some in=
formation as to whether this is likely to be a good source for diagnosis.

He had two fine needle aspirates from his lymph nodes. One taken from unde=
r his right arm and one from behind his right knee (Both were enlarged and =
initial antibiotic didn't reduce them)

The vet called me the following day (yesterday) and said that infection was=
found in the node under the right arm. And lymphoma was found in the node=
from behind the knee - is this a good source for diagnosis? Should I ask =
for a biopsy to be done before I consider treatment?
My vet wants to treat with chemotherapy drugs, and although I'm not opposed=
to the idea, I really do need to be certain that this is what she says it =
is.
Any vet input would be greatly appreciated, as I have read lots of conflict=
ing information and really don't feel I can make a decision until I'm happy=
that I have as much information as possible.

My vet wants me to call her as soon as possible to discuss treatment, so qu=
ick replies would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Carol
