Subject: Hair regrowth & shrinking vulva

Soleil is a 6 yr. old female that has had 2 adrenalectomies:
Feb 2003 - right gland removal
Nov 2003 - left gland removal (not entire gland, as vena cava intact)

A few months ago Soleil's vulva began swelling immensely and her hair loss escalated.. Her doctor diagnosed that most likely her remaining small piece of adrenal gland had enlarged, was hyper-active, etc... She was not deemed a superb candidate for surgery (but it could be done), but I elected not to at that time. Additionally I elected to not to follow Lupron, or other similar injections until deemed necessary.

Her hair loss continued to escalate as time passed these past few months to almost complete baldness along her abdomen, trunk and tail. Her head/neck and four legs have been slower to follow in hair loss.

The past few weeks / month she has begun to have hair regrowth in small patches on her lower abdomen, and more recently on her hind quarters and neck. In addition her vulva has shrunk to nearly half the largest size (perhaps 1/8 inch wide currently).

Does any of this make any sense? I am delighted to see her hair regrowth and shrunken vulva, but it doesn't seem to follow any research I have ever read. Any tips or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
