My vet uses Metacam for pain. I start it the day before surgery and then g=
ive it for 3 days following surgery. What I like about it is that it keeps=
them calm without keeping them doped up. They also don't fight the taste.=

We have used Torbugesic in the past. I think it makes them a little groggy=
, but it's a good one too.

My vet gives a Rimadyl injection immediately following surgery.
