Wait, did I read this right? Is your vet using both Rimadyl and Metacam for one
surgery?? This is not safe and all NSAIDS should have a wash out time of roughly
24-48 hours between them. Because of the potential effects of NSAIDS on the liver,
kidney and GI it is not very safe to mix two together. Have the vet either give
Rimadyl or metacam but not both.
Rimadyl is my personal first choice, however I agree that for take home meds
Metacam is going to be much easier to dose.
