Hello jen,

I posted here back in April time (I think) and had a very similar problem to
yours.
My jill had exploratory surgery in february this year. She had an enlarged
spleen and had had depleted energy levels from around August time last year.
Antibiotics and Prednisolone were given initially to see if they would
reduce the spleen, but even though the medication worked, it enlarged again
once we stopped the meds, so my vet decided that a laperotomy was needed.

She found nodules on the spleen and an enlarged left adernal gland. Both
spleen and gland were removed and sent to the US for pathology (We live in
the UK)
But, the results came back as 'Reactive tissue' in both samples - with NO
signs of any tumours.
We have no diagnosis as such (like you), and I'm wondering if chronic
infection could possibly cause these signs? - Any vet imput here on this?

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that this kind of thing has happened
before.

Good luck to you and your boy : )

Carol
