My female ferret has been hand fed for a few days for another medical problem. I noticed yesterday that she started to snort every so often when she takes a breath.
I am not sure if she started the sound after feeding or after giving her medication. It seems that when I try to feed her, she snorts more.
Could she have aspirated some food or medicine? And what should I do about it? Do I need to take her to the vet? I have started her on Baytril again, an anti-biotic. Is there anything more the vet could do that I am not already doing?
