Our Maximillion was rushed to vet last night with the diagnosis of
aspiration pneumonia. He has been fed through a feeding tube-which I thought
would prevent this. Apparently, I was wrong. He was breathing through his
mouth and having a real hard time. Very lethargic. The sounds he had started
to make were actually little cries. He had his body pulled up. At one point,
his nose took on a purplish cast to it. If you suspect that your girl may
have this problem, don't wait. Max is in an incubator with oxygen by his
nose. He might make it, might not. These symptoms came on very rapidly.
