I know this is a reach, but it makes me feel better to do something now. I=
just found one of my ferrets dead. He is an approximatly 4 year old male =
MF silver blaze. He was abandoned with me 2 yrs ago, but has generally seem=
ed healthy, had regular check ups and vaccinations while in my care. He ju=
st recently began showing hairloss and I was planning on getting him to the=
vet to check for adrenal disease. He has always had a healthy appetite an=
d yesterday morning I was making fun of him for chasing the cats away from =
their wet food. Last night he seemed to be straining to have a bowel moveme=
nt and when he finally did it was very small and green and mucusy in appear=
ance. The only other thing I noticed about him was that his skin seemed red=
. I have had a number of ferrets and never had one die this young or go so=
quickly (less than 24 hours of noticeable symptoms of illness other than h=
air loss). I will see if my vet can do a necropsy in the morning. Just tho=
ught I would see if anyone had any ideas. =

Thanks, Lisa (already missing Pepe)
