All I know at this point is the info the vet left on my voice mail. I will be meeting with him in person on Friday to get a better picture. It is my understanding that he may have had a urinary blockage due to a prostate enlargement brought on by adrenal disease. (I have had ferrets that showed adrenal symptoms for long periods of time and never had a problem, he had just started loosing hair in the last few weeks.) Apparantly the blockage caused an infection and hemorrhage within the bladder which lead then to a septicemic infection. He only showed symptoms a few hours before he died, I have never had a ferret go down so quickly. And, I know now not to wait when adrenal disease first rears its ugly head.
