I have an eight year ten month old little girl that has cardiomyopathy. She
has been doing well and holding her own with enalapril and lasix. Tonight I
noticed that after she urinated, she had a pus/mucus discharge from her vagina.
I will be calling the vet first thing in the morning. I have not had a
problem with this before. Bubbles eats well (duck soup, hand feed only <grin>)
and drinks lots of water for me. She is still very alert and fairly active for
a furkid her age and with her health problem. Bubbles will sometimes have an
accident and not be able to clean herself up after she poops. I wash her as
soon as I discover she has done this. I was wondering if she has managed to
get either a yeast infection (can ferrets get this like us human ladies can) or
some other type of bladder infection. Other than some mild hind end weakness
due to her heart problem, she does very well. She gets me up a couple of
times during the night to feed her and let her explore the whole house on her own
without interference from the other inhabitants. Any information anyone can
provide me on this would be greatly appreciated. I know my vet is also open to
any information I bring in to her.
Thanks in advance,
Barbara Laugesen and Bubbles
