Ferrets can rarely have thromboses (thrown clots from some certain specific underlying medical problems like cardiomyopathy, kidney disease, lympho, etc. and those clots can wind up pretty well anywhere, including in the brain) but they don't' have strokes, as per Dr. Bruce Williams, expert on ferret pathology.
