I would say yes (maybe), although if the one he is latching onto is a female, then it could also be her producing the extra hormones. I have seen a male without adrenal gland disease act intact when exposed to a lot of whole males or females. I don't know if that was a fluke or not since only my one male did it and it has been 3 years without any other signs of adrenal disease.

For now, if that is the only sign, I would think you could just watch and wait a little. See what happens. Look for him marking things, sliding over stuff to leave a little urine behind, more mating behaviour, or aggression, fur loss, etc. BTW, I don't think he is acting agressive, but acting like he is mating ( even if the other ferret is a male, they get confused sometimes :))

Recently our 3.5 year old male, Nanook, has been latching onto our other ferret's ear/neck, and not letting go. He has never done this before. He latches on, and just lays there, and won't let go when we prod or 'poke' him or otherwise try to distract him. Could this be a sign of agression? as in Adrenal disease agression?
