Go slowly and be sure to always have a paper bag with a few fresh crunchies in it. Ferrets LOVE t get away with things. Once the ferret starts eat those let the ferret think for some time that you are being tricked and play like you don't know it is going on. When ther ferret is eatting a decent amount this way then "discover" that it is going on. We call this "mental ferret food trick" in our household and it works very well time and time again.
