THe vet should be able to explain the results, even if not ferret savy since it is pretty much the same if were a cat or dog's urine.
The urine is full of WBC's and bacteria indicating an infection. Since he has prostate problems, there is a chance it is not just bladder infection but the prostate itself- meaning antibiotics as you have him on but for a longer period ( up to 21 days), however check with your vet first. I would repeat urine within a week on baytril to make sure is clearing, if it is not then get a urine culture and sensitivity because there is a small chance the bacteria is resistant to baytril.

Watch him for signs of straining to urinate, and you may want to have your vet show you how to express his bladder. If his bladder can't empty due to enlarged prostate, then the urine stays around and causes problems. If you can express his bladder to help him void daily, it may help things move along. I do think there are some risks with expressing the bladder, and you should definitely have the vet do it first and then show you how IF that is something the vet things can help.

If you do a search here for Urine infections, bladder infection, urinalysis, or similar key words there have been some great posts by the vets on the list about causes of, treatment of and so on.

ps. Is he back on lupron, or propecia at this point?

WBCs and RBCs too numerous to count
Cocci bacteria 2+
Rod bacteria 1+
Epi cells 1+
I am starting him on baytril again...but what else should I do? What do these results mean? The vets I work for know nothing about ferrets, and I can't afford to go somewhere else. Any advice would be great. Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
