Does anyone know if Baytril and Cipro are basically the same? I know Baytril
is prescribed for animals, Cipro for humans. But reading up in the PDR they
seem the same..??

They are in the same family of antibiotics, but are not exactly the same
drug, and have slightly different modes of action and spectrums of efficacy.

I have used both in animals, as well as another drug in the same family
(Orbax) with good effect from all three.
