Pediapred is Prednisolone.
Prednisone is changed into prednisolone by a liver process which is why some ferrets who don't get an affect from Prednisone do respond to Prednisolone. We've had one in that position; for him Prednisone had no effect at all but Prednisolone was incredibly useful.
