Wendy, my girlfriend, was just talking with someone who's ferret has just passed on to the bridge following the partial pancreatectomy surgery. And immediately, I thought about the advice I gave to you about Boo. I'm glad to hear he is feeling better, and I pray that he recovers to his former self.
The only thing I can recommend is that if you do have surgery performed, emotionally prepare yourself for a possible passing. Personally, as far as the adrenal surgery is concerned, in the hands of an experienced veterinary surgeon, it is a safe procedure. I can not say the same for the partial pancreatectomy, because it's not commonly performed. I hope you checked out the link about Adrenal disease (sorry....I posted it as a link about insulinoma). We're planning on taking ours in to our vet to get the 3 month depot injections of Lupron soon. Just waiting for them to both be 100 percent.
If there are any other questions you have, feel free to contact Wendy or myself, anytime. She's on here as naterose25@yahoo.com
I'm confident Boo is going to his old self in no time. He obviously has a loving mom.
