What works for IBD varies among ferrets and often something will work for a while and then stop.
Some things which have worked alone or in combination:
dietary changes to remove certain protein sources (some tagging along with starches, soem with certain meats, usually chicken or poultry in general)
dietary changes to add roughage like in plain pumpkin puree
antibiotics
steroids
