It only works in Explorer but if you can, try
http://www.afip.org/ferrets/neoplasia_files/frame.htm
including:
Spindle Cell Tumors "Usually arise from smooth muscle" "Locally aggressive, slow to metastasize",

http://fhl.sonic-weasel
has past mentions but it is not common there, so likely not often seen

Here is one past mention:
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/browse.php?msg=YG4055

Was the sample rerun by a different pathologist who is sued to ferrets to be sure that it is spindle cell sarcoma?

In two past posts it sounds like confusion does at times occur.

Check the pdf "On the Nature of Neoplasms" in
http://www.afip.org/ferrets/index.html

It has to be purchased and I don't know if it is any good but
www.blackwell-synergy.com/links/ doi/10.1111/j.1476-5810.2004.00044.x/pdf
and
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/servlet/useragent?func=callWizard&wizardKey=salesAgent:1096042368580&action=show

apparently can help get

Veterinary and Comparative Oncology

Characterization of spindle cell component of ferret (Mustela putorius furo) adrenal cortical neoplasms - correlation to clinical parameters and prognosis

so perhaps you or your vet should try to track down a copy.
