If I recall right you have one with insulinoma, right? To avoid possible blood glucose swings we personally tend to avoid dietary sugars in ferrets with that problem until the illness gets beyond the points where meds do their ob well enough.

There are treats that are more meat and fat based which you can use; everything from some oils (Hilbert would do anything for Ferretone.), some type sof cat or dog food (Ashling and Hjalmar were two of our;s who would do anything for Meow Mix), fatty chicken skin from a roast chicken, meat, meat baby foods, etc.
