> My ferret Stiffler is part of a study to see if Deslorelin implants effect the size of adrenal tumors. My vet recieved the implants at a conference in San Diego, I don't know where they came from. I was told that the implants have a life of 12 to 18 months. I couldn't tell you the price of the drugs as it was payed for by the research funding. Stiffler received and will receive a hormone profile and ultrasound every 4 months. He also had a blood and chemistry panel prior to receiving the implant. He received his implant on the 14th of Sept. We haven't seen clinical signs disappear, but I'm not expecting that until 3 weeks after the after in implant was given.
