BlankEVERYTHING IN MODERATION!! We`ve all heard this, from Doctors, Vets, &=
the many diet papers that offer suggestions for those "If it tastes good, =
it`s probably bad for you" items! The `slowing` of a ferret`s digestive sys=
tem could be compared to the slowing of a `race car` 's speed by letting a =
bit of air out of it`s tires.>>so minimal, it`s almost unnoticeable!! Ferre=
tone was mentioned by me because of it`s oily, slippery properties to the h=
uman hand, and the `inner walls` of a ferret`s intestines.(ever drop the dr=
opper bottle while feeding ferts. because it `slipped` out of your hand?) F=
ood passes so fast thru their system, any `slowing`of their digestive proce=
ss, would be practically un-noticeable. "Large Amounts" of 'fats' & 'oils' =
come under the heading of `common sense`! Ferretone, when given by label in=
structions, is by no means considered a "large amount"! Therefore, a 'bit-o=
-raisin', described by me as the size of half of a 'tic-tac', maybe 1-3 bit=
s per exercise session,(me & them), might equal "one" whole raisin if glued=
back together! MODERATION! I can`t buy fresh deli meats & cheeses, since a=
fter a quad by-pass, I can no longer clean these fresh goodies up in 1 day!=
(I guess that comes under another heading of `self-control`!) Hence, enter =
`moderation`!! A little extra `lube`, as well as essential fatty acids in =
Ferretone, could only help to push that`when re-assembled` , 1 raisin to it=
`s final `end`! If 'we' ONLY consumed what was good for us, presumeably abl=
e to throw moderation out the window, diet & life would be pretty bland! Bu=
t an occasional `disk of pepperoni`, or "raisin", is no more harmful to us(=
pepperoni), or them(raisin), than standing in front of the microwave waitin=
g for our slice of pepperoni pizza to heat!! Once again, not ALL Ferrets sh=
ould have ANY natural sweets, just as not ALL people should have pepperini =
& the like!! Think I`ll order a large pepperoni pizza w/raisins, THEY DELIV=
