Hi all, for those of you that have followed my little old man's story..we just got back home a bit ago. Boo had his surgery today. He is recovering well.
It breaks my heart to feel so helpless!! The vet took the left adrenal, said it was the size of a large grape. She said the right gland looked and felt good. She did not see or feel any tiny microscopic nodules. She said that she took a part of the pancreas that had little microscopic lumpy clusters. They were located to one side, so she took that side. The bad news is that when she opened him up his liver was so enlarged and was lumpy everywhere. She sent 3 biopsys out, she believes it to be cancer. She said when his liver enzymes came back elevated last week, that she wasn't gona be sure if it was the adrenal pushing on all his organs that was causing the elevation, or if she would find something. She's gona have the tests back in 3 days. We shall see, but she said it did seem to her as cancer.
Tomorrow my husband takes Boo back for a recheck and fluids. He's sleeping and I can't help go check him like every second I get even though he's sleeping well. Just a worried emotional mom, I guess lol!! So, off I go..keep ya posted. I would love to be able to post a picture of my Boo if anyone knows where I could post it??
